Sublating the Symbol

Sublating the Symbol is a collaborative album curated by Thomas Reiner. It includes a collection of both instrumental and electronic works by renown Australian composers. Each work on the album is a different composer’s exploration of the albums theme “Sublating the Symbol”. Collectively the album is diverse, artistic and inspiring making a valuable contribution to the art the contemporary art music scene.

Labyrinths of Lowness

Recorded by Peter Sheridan, The Monash University Flute Ensemble and Wirripang. The album features works for the low flute ensemble including works scored for 6 alto flutes, 4 bass flutes, 2 contrabass flutes, 1 sub-contrabass flute and the Hyper-bass flute. Together both composers and performers have redefined the sounds of a flute ensemble.

Recorded by The Monash University Flute Ensemble and Move Records. The album is wonderful collection of new Australian music for flute Ensemble and includes the sounds of the piccolo, concert flute, alto flute, bass flute, contra-bass flute, sub-contra-bass flute and the Hyper bass flute.
