The Techie
With the right combination of music equipment, anything is possible. The Techie Flutist turns your ordinary flute into a polyphonic electric instrument with the tone capacities of an electric guitar and pitch range of a piano. While there are a number of different ways this can be achieved The Techie Flutist is primarily interested in methods that allow the performer to be in full control of both the flute and the effects that are altering its sound. Initially inspired by a first-year university assignment the concept has progressively grown and developed into a practice that is now limited only by your imagination.

My Thoughts
On Faith
I once believed that music was the be all and end all. It was my life’s calling and an all-consuming obsession. But in the aftermath of COVID-19 you realise how fragile and fleeting every aspect of human life is. Where entire industries can go from thriving to non-exist and people can just disappear in the blink of an eye. When we are forced to stop you realise there are perhaps two things more important than music. People and Faith. Growing up I had been hated and bullied because of my faith but now friends had died without even knowing I was Christian. We had never been open and real and honest. Never explored the most important aspects of life together. Never explored why I was a Christian or looked at how faith may help them in their own journey. Sometimes we hide our faith because we know we do not have all the answers. We don’t know how to share the gospel. We do not want to offend or upset. We follow a gospel of grace, but we have to believe that, that grace applies also to us. Grace is the freedom to be okay with making mistakes, and share what you believe in imperfectly. And I would rather try and share my faith and make mistakes than have you come to the end of your life never having heard the gospel in a way that you understand. So, I pray that you find these resources beneficial, and I wish you all the best with your journey through life.
